DNS completes Acquisition of Centia and AKS Group
DNSint.com AG announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the UK-based Centia group and the Scandinavian-based AKS group. Both are well known throughout the industry as specialists in the virtualization and access solutions space. Their products and solutions match perfectly across the geographies. Till the end of the year both companies will keep their existing branding. Centia and AKS will gradually be fully integrated within DNS to create a more powerful, unified team.
Fürstenfeldbruck, August 7th, 2007 – DNSint.com AG, a pan European value added distributor who is headquartered in Fürstenfeldbruck/Germany has reached an agreement to acquire the UK-based Centia group and the Scandinavian-based AKS group. The transaction is dependent on regulatory approval. Centia is a value added distributor in the United Kingdom with satellite offices in Germany, France, and the Netherlands. AKS is active in all Scandinavian markets. Both AKS and Centia are well known throughout the industry as specialists in the virtualization and access solutions space. The DNS and AKS/Centia products and solutions match perfectly across the geographies. Centia and AKS have approximately 120 employees and reported revenues of over 80M€ in 2006. Centia and AKS will continue to effectively serve their markets under their current branding.

Centia and AKS have focused on partnerships with leading vendors like Citrix, IBM SW, RSA, TrendMicro,VMware und Wyse, which are also current vendor partners for DNS. The employees of Centia/AKS will benefit from this transaction by getting access to an expanded product portfolio, being able to better serve their re-seller partners and by gaining access to the state-of-the-art infrastructure of DNS Arrow.
