Call centre software solutions firm TouchStar has announced the purchase of FacetPhone developer FacetCorp.
Spokespeople for the company suggested they were delighted with the acquisition, particularly as FacetPhone - a telecommunications system that aims to boost business efficiency while minimising costs - is viewed as such a strong product.
PBX product manager for TouchStar Lauren LaFortuna commented: "FacetPhone is a great addition to TouchStar's product line because it offers advanced features such as presence, instant messenger, real time graphical reports and click-to-call integrations."
FacetCorp's president Jim Bryant said his firm now has the opportunity to become the market leader in the business phone sector, given the extra resources now at its disposal.
The financial details of the takeover were not revealed.
TouchStar has offices around the world and was recently rated as the 40th fastest growing telecommunications firm in America by Inc. Magazine.
In the last three years alone it has grown by 258.7 per cent.
