The acquisition of Media Numerics by Riedel Communications has now been completed, Riedel's managing director told prosoundnewseurope.com.
Thomas Riedel asserted that the acquisition of the developer - which is responsible for the RockNet networking technology - came together "very quickly" thanks to Riedel's flexibility.
He added that in the long-term, RockNet could "establish itself as a new standard for audio networking" and may help Riedel target live sound markets.
It is also thought that the new addition may improve Riedel's credentials as a service provider.
Riedel Group, which was founded in 1987, currently has 170 employees across its eight offices worldwide, according to its website.
The firm operates in the fields of radio distribution, intercom manufacturing and rental services.
RockNet, developed by Media Numerics, is an audio distribution solution noted for its easy operation and installation, as well as its high reliability, according to the company website.
