Stadium Group has acquired Zirkon for £2.5 million in a move the firm stated will further strengthen its electronics division.
According to the company, during a period of continued consolidation in the UK electronic manufacturing services industry, Stadium saw the chance to takeover a well-run business which fits with its own strategy.
Richard Reid, managing director of stadium, said: "Zirkon are an experienced company with a solid reputation, and its customer base will benefit from the added support from Stadium Group."
This includes access to wholly owned operations in China, he added.
As well as this, the purchase will allow Stadium to continue with its own growth plans, bringing its total number of production lines to six.
Production at Zirkon's Rugby facility will continue as usual but under the Stadium brand.
Stadium offers end-to-end electronics solutions from PCB assembly to full build and packing options.
Zirkon provided electrical manufacturing services on a contract basis.
