On Demand Group (ODG) has announced that it has acquired mobile video and TV service provider Mobix Interactive.
London-based ODG, a subsidiary of SeaChange International, offers content and consulting services to the broadcasting industry.
The acquisition was completed last week and will help the company to expand its content aggregation and management offerings in the European, Middle Eastern and African mobile video market, ODG said.
Mobix provides mobile video services to carriers such as UK-based O2 and 3 and South African operator Vodacom. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We're particularly excited about the proven and unique advantage that Mobix technologies provide in integrated advertising and the seamless support of hundreds of handset models and disparate mobile media formats, thereby ensuring a deep and rich selection of on-demand content for any subscriber," said ODG managing director and SeaChange senior vice-president Tony Kelly.
ODG was founded in 1995 and has operations across 20 countries around the world. It was acquired by SeaChange, a provider of on-demand television services, in 2005.
