Digital Interactive, a provider of technology solutions for the gaming industry, has merger with Compuexpert, a distributor of console games and accessories, it has been revealed.
The deal brings together Digital Interactive's e-commerce gaming systems, including its digital download engine, with Compuexpert's experience in wholesaling.
Joesph Konowiecki, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Digital Interactive, said: "Compuexpert's team has unmatched expertise in the gaming industry which, combined with Digital Interactive's patented technologies, now allows us to offer our clients instant knowledge of what sells."
Mr Konowiecki, who is also the new CEO of Compuexpert, added that the deal will also improve profit margins.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Yesterday, rumours of a potential merger between Indian software firms Satyam and Mahindra were denied.
According to reports, the latter had approached the former with an all-share deal, but these have now been dismissed as nothing more than speculation.
