Aberdeen-based AVC Media Enterprises has acquired Hotchilli Design for an undisclosed sum.
The purchasing firm claims that the move will create a company with a turnover of £2 million in 2009 and follows deals for the PR Partnership and Brand Advertising in 2007.
Spencer Buchan, director of AVC, stated the move will further strengthen the company's market position.
"At such a time we want to be presenting the market with the optimum range of skills and services in exactly the way clients need them," he said.
Hotchilli specialises in graphic design and digital media, while AVC offers services across a range of communications fields.
Recently, it was announced that market research company IQ Holdings has agreed a deal with Media Square to acquire three branches of its Illuminas consultancy.
The deal has a potential value of £1.5 million and involves the Viewpoint Field, Viewpoint Studios and The Wire, sections of Illuminas.
