Logica - an IT and business services company - has announced the expansion of its UK business process outsourcing (BPO) team.
The appointments are part of Logica's intent to enhance its service offerings to clients during the recession and in particular, to head Logica's local government growth initiatives.
An enhanced BPO capability will enable the company to offer greater back office solutions including finance administration and procurement, Logica says.
The new BPO team includes Mark Lambert as director of Global Strategic Sales, Stephen Biggs as UK BPO service development director, Brendan Brown as a management consultant and Nathan James as a transformation consultant.
Commenting on the announcement, director at Logica Phil Gooch says: "The team will help to ensure that we continue to lead on BPO services and also respond to emerging client needs that will support long-term growth in the UK."
Logica provides consultancy services across 36 countries, with 39,000 employees.
