IMImobile has acquired Music2You (M2Y) from Nokia Siemens Networks.
Under the M2Y brand, Nokia Siemens offered a music subscription and download service to global telecoms and media players, including Vodafone in India and AOL in Germany.
The deal sees the transfer of the M2Y service to IMImobile, which will deliver it on the DaVinci Service Delivery Platform, which powers value-added services for telecoms firms.
Patrik Sallner, global head of hosting services at Nokia Siemens Networks, says IMImobile was chosen to deliver M2Y due to the "robustness and flexibility" of the DaVinci platform.
Vishwanath Alluri, founder and chief executive officer of IMImobile, states that he is "looking forward" to delivering added value to M2Y customers.
"The inherent efficiency of the DaVinci Service Delivery Platform enables us to optimise our customers' margin opportunities particularly important in the current economic climate," he explains.
IMImobile was founded by Mr Alluri in 1988, with the mobile division established in 1999.
