VISTO has snapped up Good Technology from the telecoms firm Motorola.
Good Technology offers device management, wireless messaging and handheld security for the mobile platform - VISTO says the acquisition places the firm as a global leader in delivering secure mobile messaging services.
The details of the transaction were not revealed, but the deal is expected to be closed at the end of this month.
Brian A Bogosian, chief executive officer of VISTO, says the deal marks a "milestone" in VISTO's emergence, adding that the acquisition means the company will be servicing customers in over 100 countries.
"Good's robust enterprise and government solution will complement VISTO's strong operator presence in business and consumer markets," he explains.
Working with partners such as Microsoft and Lotus, VISTO pushes email and organisation platforms available on computers to mobile devices.
Founded in 1996 and headquartered in California, the company has tripled its subscriber base over the last year.
