SchoolNet and Campusware have announced a merger, aimed at enhancing the firms' products and services.
Education technology company SchoolNet helps school districts improve efficiency and increase achievement, while Campusware provides web-based GradeSpeed, a grade book for attendance and reports.
GradeSpeed can interface with any student information system, allowing data to be exchanged between both programs.
Teachers can enter information online and parents can log on to view it or receive notifications by phone, text or email.
"Combining the power of an instructional management system with a web-based grade book will enable districts to align their strategy from the boardroom to the classroom to the living room - and save money by eliminating non-integrated systems," explains SchoolNet chief executive officer Jonathan D Harber.
Founded in 1998, SchoolNet aims to streamline education technology and create programs that are easy to understand.
Campusware's GradeSpeed was originally a DOS-based application before being expanded into a standalone Windows tool.
