IRIS has announced the acquisition of ATW Information Technology Systems, a reseller and partner for IRIS software.
Sussex-based ATW delivers consultancy to medium-sized businesses in the south of England using business and accountancy systems, including the IRIS Exchequer software package.
ATW joins the IRIS accounting and business solutions division, which also includes services such as IRIS PROJECTminder and IRIS SharpOWL.
IRIS says the acquisition is part of an investment strategy, to ensure that its customers receive the best services and products available.
Commenting on the purchase Stuart Dawson, managing director of IRIS accounting and business solutions, describes ATW as a "valuable addition" to the company portfolio.
"As with any acquisition, our emphasis will be very much on ensuring 'business as usual' for the existing ATW Exchequer customer base," he added.
IRIS is the largest privately owned software firm in the UK, serving over 60,000 organisations ranging from the modest to the multinational.
