Oxygen8 Communications has acquired Caribbean Multimedia Services (CMS) as part of its global expansion plans.
The deal means that Oxygen8 now runs international interactive services in 36 markets across the globe and is directly connected in 33 countires.
CMS has connectivity across the Caribbean and has contracts with many key media groups in the market, Oxygen8 explained.
Shane Leahy, group chief executive officer of Oxygen8, commented: "Oxygen8 is looking to quickly expand its business worldwide and our acquisition of CMS is an important part of this process, enabling us to launch new Caribbean mobile services."
He added that Oxygen8's clients are increasingly international in their attentions, particularly with its major customers operating on the internet.
Oxygen8 provides international interactive communications services to some of the top companies in the world.
Last month it was revealed that Oxygen8 had launched a new interactive voice broadcasting service named Voice Push which allows media organisations to drive new revenue streams throughout all English-speaking areas.
