IT solutions provider Computime has merged with IT security and network support firm Acutec.
The consolidation of the IT businesses' services is expected to be completed over the next few months.
However, the new merger is expected to improve the service offering to the newly-merged entity's clients.
Chris Roche, managing director of Acutec, welcomed the new merger.
He said: "There is great synergy between the two companies and this is a very exciting move as the two businesses become one.
"This is such a fast moving industry that it is vital to seize opportunities when they come along."
John Dixon, Computime founder, explained that the two firms had a very similar ethos.
The newly merged entity will have more than 300 clients across the Midlands regon.
Among the new services offered will be a 24-hour, seven days per week system support service, a bigger helpdesk team and more locally-based engineers.
