NitroSecurity has completed the asset purchase of Chronicle Solutions, UK-based network content management specialist.
The financial arrangement of the deal was not disclosed, but the acquisition sees the integration of Chronicle's layer seven application monitoring with Nitrosecurity's ESM product.
NitroView ESM delivers advanced threat and fraud detection capabilities for the software firm's customers.
Mike Montecillo, security and risk management analyst, enterprise management associates, commented that customers are "challenged" by the high volume of data flooding their networks and PCs.
He said: "Combining layer seven application security information with an investment in network and database monitoring, such as that from NitroSecurity, is a good strategy for companies who are looking for increased compliance and more rapid mitigation."
Chronicle Solutions was established in 2001 to address the problems of managing content within medium-to-large IT networks.
It has headquarters in London and New York, plus representations in eight other countries around the world.
