IT services group 365 iT has announced the acquisition of 5i Limited, a provider of high level, consultancy-led, Cisco and Microsoft based Unified Communications (UC) solutions.
For 365 iT, the purchase brings to the group on of Cisco's leading UK-based partners in UC and will enable the group to tap a market demand created by nascent technologies.
According to the 365 iT chairman Peter McLean, UC is of strategic importance to the company.
In addition to expansion through acquisitions, the firm also aims to maintain an organic growth rate in excess of 15 per cent per annum, Mr McLean says.
Commenting on the acquisition of 5i Limited, he described it as the "next step in the evolution of our service portfolio".
"The deal enables 365 iT to focus on its core strengths and to deliver UC services and solutions to a growing number of UK businesses including our existing substantial customer base," he added.
Based in Halifax, Yorkshire 365 iT is a Microsoft certified partner.
