Telecoms firms Syringa Wireless and Clear Talk Idaho are to merge at the end of next month.
The aim of the merger is to create a new company that will be better positioned to meet the demands of the wireless communications market.
It will operate under the Syringa Wireless name, with Mike Hunsaker staying on as general manager.
Some 13 Syringa and five of the existing Clear Talk stores will be run by the newly-formed business and current staff will be retained.
Subscribers will have greater choice in service options and enhanced calling features," commented Larry Curry, president of Clear Talk Idaho.
Additional network upgrades are currently taking place and are expected to be completed by autumn this year.
Clear Talk consumers will receive software upgrades to enable their mobile devices to work on the Syringa Wireless network and see their monthly subscription cost fall.
