Mobile start-up firms in Finland are being given the opportunity to talk mergers and acquisitions with some of the world's biggest investors at the biannual Money Talks Forums, which begins tomorrow (November 12th).
Billed as the largest and most efficient matchmaking event between investors and entrepreneurs in the country, the forum's last incarnation in March generated more than 200 individual meetings in just two and a half hours.
"Finland possesses a high level of technology know-how and we want to meet interesting Finnish mobile and software development companies," commented John Nogrady, director of business development for Microsoft's Emerging Business Team.
A keynote speech will examine the currently state of Finland's mobile industry, which has seen a major surge in merger and acquisition activity in 2009 with transactions valued at over 400 million (£361 million).
The event, which will be hosted at Innopoli 2 in Otaniemi Espoo, will also feature the Finnish Israel Gateway networking reception.
