Enterprise software provider CDC Software has announced that it has completed a definitive agreement to acquire Truition, a leading provider of on-demand ecommerce platforms.

The move is designed not only to open up the business-to-consumer market for CDC Software, but also to bolster its foothold in the enterprise market by allowing it to offer an end-to-end supply chain execution solution.

Subject to customary closing conditions, the deal is expected to close with the next two weeks and represents the first of two such acquisitions of software-as-a-service companies planned by CDC Software.

"Truition now enables CDC Software to have a hybrid architecture to offer customers the choice of an on-premise solution or an on-demand offering, depending on what best fits their specific business needs," commented Bruce Cameron, president of CDC Software.

The company recently completed the acquisition of Activplant Solutions, which is expected to expand CDC Software's market share in the food and beverage and automotive markets.ADNFCR-1833-ID-19476835-ADNFCR
