Sports management firm Pointstreak has announced the acquisition of STEVA Sports Software, a provider of video analysis software designed to enhance the planning strategies of coaches and teams.
STEVA Sports Software's platform also gives teams to ability to develop video-based scouting and recruiting content, as well as team and league highlight videos.
It will continue to operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pointstreak.com and the day-to-day business will continue to be handled by the company's founders.
Scott Secord, president and chief executive officer of Pointstreak, said that he is confident that the merger deal will exceed the expectations of clients and fans alike.
"Live video and on-demand video through the internet has become such a major part of the daily routine of the sports fan that it became essential for Pointstreak to deliver a platform to its customers that meets the demands of their fans and media partners," he added.
In 2008, Pointstreak acquired Rakonza.com, an electronic scoring application designed for baseball.
