Mid-market consulting, software and solutions provider Access has acquired Canterbury-based web-enable HR solutions firm Select Software.
The acquisition deal forms part of Access' drive to invest in its software portfolio beyond the finance function and to provide a complete suite of organisation-wide business solutions.
Both companies have developed a number of practical mid-market solutions for business, including Access' Accounting for Carbon Emissions software.
Alistair O'Reilly, founder and chief executive officer of Access, said that the addition of a HR system to its offerings will allow mid-market enterprises to improve employee retention and maintain their legal obligations.
"We're now able to provide a complete HR, payroll and online recruitment solution to our customers that includes everything from absence, timesheets and expenses to dashboard and headcount reporting," he added.
Access recently implemented its Service Manager system at Fujifilm UK, helping the firm to meet a rise in business demand from Europe.
