Metrixware, a leading French player in the application asset management and IT governance market for more than a decade, has announced the acquisition of mainframe application software specialist Scort, based in Paris.
The move is seen as part of Metrixware's plan to bolster its foothold in the information systems (IS) modernisation market, with a broad offering covering all aspects of the IS management and valorisation market.
Created in 1996, Scort works as a specialist in solutions designed to simplify the integration between mainframe applications and web architectures, allowing greater collaboration between Cobol and web teams and the automatic generation of Java and .Net components.
Scort's Spanish subsidiary, with its prestigious customers including Iberia, Axa and GasNatural, is expected to prove another prime asset gained by the acquisition, along with its expertise in mainframe and new technologies.
Last year, Metrixware introduced Insite SaaS, the first on-demand solution to measure code quality in enterprise applications.
