Advanced semiconductor design innovator Rapid Bridge has acquired IC design services company QuantumThink Group (QThink), which is based in San Diego and has offices in Bangalore, India.
It is believed that the acquisition will allow Rapid Bridge to provide a full range of solutions, combining its technology and products along with QThink's design service offerings and its flexible business model.
Massig Tayebi, chief executive officer of Rapid Bridge, said that the design services business will synergise with its other product lines and allow it to work more closely with customers.
"QThink has an excellent track record, a very talented engineering team and direct access to top tier customers in our industry, from which we can expand our value-add as we continue to focus on leading-edge technologies," he went on to say.
Last month, Rapid Bridge was selected as a finalist for this year's EDN Innovation Awards for its LiquidCell library product.
