Holland-based software supplier BlueCielo ECM Solutions has announced the acquisition of a 70 per cent stake in Kronodoc Oy, a Finnish company that specialises in document management solutions.
The Dutch firm hopes to complement its existing management systems through the acquisition and plans to use its global market presence to reinforce the global roll-out of Kronodoc's products, which until now have mainly been marketed in its native Finland.
"This strategic acquisition accelerates BlueCielo's focus on adding value to the engineering, procurement and construction market," commented Martijn Janmaat, president of BlueCielo ECM Solutions.
Kronodoc's software solutions allow customers to control and manage the large volumes of documents that are involved in complex engineering and construction contracts, resulting in communication and quality efficiencies.
In 2008, BlueCielo ECM Solutions acquired all of Brazilian software reseller GAMA and distributor SKA's activities that were relevant to its business, following on from its acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in PONTODOC, another Brazilian reseller.
