Orbis Technology, a provider of integrated gaming and betting solutions, has agreed to acquire Alphameric Solutions in an all-cash transaction valued at £15.48 million.
The acquisition of Alphameric, which provides software and hardware technology to bookmakers like Ladbrokes and William Hill, will enable Orbis to broaden its client base and strengthen its position as a gaming platform.
David Loveday, chief executive of Orbis Technology, described the acquisition deal as a "fantastic opportunity" to take advantage of growing opportunities across the global gaming sector, particularly as the two firms already share a number of customers.
"We look forward to building on their success as market leaders in the retail space and provide an enhanced gaming offering to new and existing clients," he added.
The announcement comes as Intergameonline.com today (May 11th) reported that IOA Group, the UK's largest independent amusement and gaming operator, has acquired Sovereign Games for an undisclosed sum.
