The merger between UK telecoms firms Orange and T-Mobile will mean businesses can raise productivity by 15 per cent, it has been claimed.
Everything Everywhere, the new parent company for the two telecommunications firms that will maintain their own brand images, said it will deliver "pioneering" new services and utilise the latest technological advances to provide new ways of working for businesses.
The merger, which was announced earlier in the year, officially came into being on Thursday (July 1st), integrating 16,500 staff from the two companies.
Martin Stiven, vice-president of business at Everything Everywhere, said: "Our vision of giving customers access to everything everywhere is extremely powerful for our business customers.
"Being the UK's biggest operator gives us a unique opportunity to do something special for business."
The new business has a customer base of over 30 million and is jointly owned by Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom, the owners of T-Mobile and Orange respectively.
