US Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and unified communications (UC) firms Broadvox and Cypress Communications have announced the completion of their merger.
Dallas-headquartered Broadvox provides VoIP and UC services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), enterprise and carrier customers. It works with more than 300 telecoms operators and transports over 12 billion minutes annually.
Cypress Communications, based in Atlanta, serves customers in 38 US states and has operations in London, Dubai and Belize.
The merged company will be known as Broadvox, while Cypress will operate as a subsidiary brand. Broadvox's co-founders, Andre Temnorod and Eugene Blumin, will maintain their roles of chairman and chief executive officer respectively.
Broadvox will keep its Dallas base as its HQ, also welcoming new operations in Atlanta. It will have approximately 250 employees and post forecasted revenues in excess of $100 million (about £62 million).
"We are excited about bringing Broadvox and Cypress together to deliver hosted unified communications and SIP trunking to SMBs and enterprise customers," said Andre Temnorod.
"Broadvox now boasts one of the nation's largest VoIP networks, providing 24/7 support and service to more than 10,000 business customers and hundreds of thousands of users."
