US-based AFL Telecommunications has completed its acquisition of a majority share in fibre optic firm The Light Brigade.

AFL provides technology and services to numerous fibre optics-related markets, including broadband and wireless.

It did not reveal how much it paid for the control of The Light Brigade or how much of the South Carolina company it now owns.
