American software company Emailvision is looking to expand its presence in the UK following the purchase of marketing consultancy company smartFOCUS.
The £25.3 million deal between the two companies will see Emailvision take on 51.7 per cent of the issues shares of smartFOCUS for 25 pence each, which was a 61.3 per cent premium on the closing price of shares on April 8th.
It will see the two companies work together on software for email marketing, including consultancy and data selection services, M & A Deals reported.
Nick Hayes, chief executive officer of Emailvision, which provides software for email, mobile and social marketing, said: "We are excited to further our presence in the UK and US as well as adding multi-channel campaign management to our portfolio of products."
Bristol-based smartFocus provides email and multi-channel market software and services for companies including Fat Face, the Guardian, Hotpoint and EMI.
The news comes just days after Emailvision announced its acquisition of social media marketing company ObjectiveMarketer, which is considered to be a pioneer in the field.
