Business process outsourcing (BPO) provider the Capita Group has announced the acquisition of Right Document Solutions Holdings (RDS), in a deal which could be worth up to £40 million.
The London-based company has said that the takeover will provide it with the opportunity to build upon existing software capabilities and extend services in the financial, legal, media and educational sectors.
Paul Pindar, chief executive officer of the Capita Group, said: "The acquisition will ensure that Capita is well positioned to participate comprehensively in this market. These services play an integral role in many of our businesses and contracts, and we can therefore provide further service efficiencies to both Capita and its clients."
BPO is a form of outsourcing involving the contracting of operations and business responsibilities to a third-party service provider. The Capita Group is currently the UK's leading provider of the service.
This deal will see a consideration of £30 million on a cash-free debt-free basis, plus a deferred consideration of up to £10 million.
