LDC portfolio company Trustmarque has closed a deal to acquire cloud infrastructure and hosted services provider Nimbus Technology Systems for an undisclosed amount.
The software-as-a-service company, which also provides consultancy, planning and migrations services, will provide Trustmarque with more breadth and depth of expertise in cloud service delivery.
It will also give the firm an extended portfolio of managed cloud services, from simple hosted email systems to complete hosted telecoms and IT systems for larger organisations.
This is the first in a planned series of strategic acquisitions by Trustmarque, which the company believes will extend its expertise, range of capabilities and value added service offerings.
Chief executive officer of Trustmarque Scott Haddow said: "We are in the midst of a fundamental shift as more and more enterprises start to use services enabled by cloud technologies."
Trustmarque provides IT infrastructure and software solutions for businesses. It has been established for over 20 years.
