Derek joined Regent as a Director in 1991 and was appointed Partner for operations in 1997. He has undertaken numerous assignments for clients, both buyers and sellers, including ICL, Mitel, Open Text, Platinum Technology, IBM, AT&T, IMI and Raytheon.
Derek has been responsible for the successful negotiation and completion of significant acquisition deals including the acquisitions of Uniplex, Symbiosis, Xyratex Consultancy Division and the disposals of Brook Street Computers, Air Call Communications SA, Guardian Computer Services, QA Training, P&P, Envoy, Largotim and Workplace Technologies.
Derek has over 30 years experience in the computer industry and prior to joining Regent was the Managing Director of GEC Software Ltd, a CASE and networking systems company. Having announced his retirement at the end of September 2008, Derek is now a Director of Regent’s parent company, Regent Group Ltd.
